Action codes for WhatsApp, Instagram, bookings and more — and which plan unlocks what.
For: EveryoneDifficulty: Easy⏱ 2 min
Advanced QR codes do something when scanned — open a WhatsApp chat, a booking page, an Instagram profile — and can be changed after printing, designed, scheduled and measured. Your plan decides which parts you can use; anything it does not include still shows, with a lock and the plan that does.
Step by step
- Free (3 codes) and Starter (25 codes) — the simple code types. Starter adds editable, scan-counted website codes.
- Growth (250 codes) — Advanced codes for websites, bio pages, business cards, menus, events and contact cards; WhatsApp, Instagram and Instagram DM, Facebook, Messenger, Telegram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat and other social links; the social action page; email, phone call and text message; plus the Design Studio, analytics, scheduling and expiry, passwords, campaign (UTM) tags, folders, campaigns and scan emails.
- Premium and Enterprise (unlimited codes) — everything: all of the above, plus Google Maps, appointment booking, payment link, product and shop codes; one-time and limited-scan codes; bulk creation from a spreadsheet; splitting scans between destinations and A/B testing; the QR code API; and white-label pages without LinkVault branding.
Tips
- Codes you made before Advanced QR keep working exactly as they were. Nothing is converted, re-rendered or re-pointed.
- If you move to a smaller plan, codes you already made keep working; you just cannot create new ones of a type the plan no longer includes.
Frequently asked questions
Does LinkVault know if someone sent me a WhatsApp message?
No. LinkVault sees the scan and opens WhatsApp for them; whether they press send happens inside WhatsApp, which does not tell anyone. A scan is interest, not a conversation — or a sale.
Do I need to connect my Instagram or WhatsApp account?
No. Codes use the public links each platform provides. LinkVault never asks for, or holds, the passwords to your social accounts.
