Branding a QR code with your colours and logo

Match the code to your brand without breaking it.
For: EveryoneDifficulty: Easy⏱ 2 min
Step by step
- Open the code and choose Edit.
- Pick a preset under Colours, or set your own Code colour and Background.
- Under Logo in the middle, upload a PNG, JPG or WebP. It sits in a small clear square at the centre of the code.
- Save, download it, and scan it yourself before using it anywhere.
Tips
- Dark pattern on a light background. Inverting it stops many phone cameras dead.
- Keep real contrast between the two colours — a pale grey code on white looks tasteful and scans badly.
- A mark or a monogram survives print. A full wordmark shrinks to an unreadable smudge in a square that small.
- What downloads is the code on its own. Any wording around it — a “Scan for our menu” line, your name, a border — belongs in whatever you lay the flyer out in. See Printing QR codes that actually scan for how much room to leave it.
- Brand colours and the logo are both included from the Growth plan.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Yes, from the Growth plan. Edit the code and upload it under Logo in the middle.
Does adding a logo stop the code scanning?
It should not. Codes are generated with the highest error correction level, and the centre square is kept small enough for readers to reconstruct what it covers. Scan the finished code yourself before sending it to a printer all the same.
Will adding a logo break codes I have already printed?
No. The logo is drawn on top of the same pattern, so a code that is already out in the world keeps working — but the printed one will not match the new artwork.
Can I remove a logo later?
Yes. Edit the code and tick Remove it next to the current logo.
